‘The Cherry on my Cake’ is Luísa Sobral’s debut album. From the Beatles to Billie Holiday, from Ella Fitzgerald to Chet Baker, everyone fits into Luísa Sobral’s universe. For the album, Luísa composed mostly in English, but the Portuguese language is also present in two originals and a version by Rui Veloso (‘Saí para a Rua’). The album reached Platinum in 2011.
